Three Interests Scales
The CoachView Assessment ranks clients on the following three interests scales:
People
This scale covers a range of preferences for interpersonal contact. At the one end is
the client who, while not necessarily avoiding contact with other people,
would not want interpersonal relations to be a key component of their career. At the other end
is the client who is very interested in work which involves considerable contact with other people.
Data
At the one end of this scale is the client who has little interest in working with data or
numbers. At the other end is the client who enjoys working with data for its own sake, including
figures, symbols, statistics and accounts.
Things
At the one end of this scale is the client who is not interested in working with
machinery, computers, and equipment. At the other end is the client who enjoys the "hands on"
approach to design and management and enjoys working with inanimate objects.
